You stopped scrolling on social media to give your mind a break from the noise. That wasn’t easy, so you should feel proud of yourself. Do you know what chisme is? Keep reading!

CONGRATULATIONS!

“Chisme” means gossip in Spanish, a word often reduced to something shallow or trivial, and too often dismissed as something only women do. The stereotype suggests women sit around spending hours dissecting other people’s lives—but honestly, who has the time? And for the record, men love chisme too.

But chisme isn’t just petty talk. It holds entire lifetimes. It carries our joys and our wounds, the hobbies that light us up, and the memories that ache to be understood. Chisme is how we process pain, how we name our truths, and how we heal without fear of judgment or shame. Through connection, I heal—and that’s why I choose to share my chisme with you.

This doesn’t make me a “chismosa”; it makes me powerful. Vulnerability isn’t easy, but it is an act of self-worth. I open up in hopes that something here resonates so deeply that you find yourself thinking, “Same, mija. Same.”

I invite you to reflect on your own experiences—both joy and loss—with a community rooted in care, safety, and honesty. May you allow yourself to be vulnerable, and may you hold one another through it all.

You’re welcome to chismear conmigo, if you’d like.

Thank you for being here, for sharing your time with me. I hope this space becomes an outlet where you feel seen, held, and loved.

Are you ready for my chisme? Here it goes.
